Lucie Mbalanga Mangulia

Team Lawyer

Lucie Mbalanga Mangulia is an international and european lawyer. As a Solicitor, she is working for Lead Africa international on a voluntary basis as our team lawyer and contact point in Brussels. Lucie has worked as a Civil Servant where she served as Attachée-Juriste for the Belgian Federal Public Service Social Security. She then worked as a Detached Civil Servant in the European Commission as a National Expert in Professional Training Programme for the Directorate-General of Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection. Lucie holds two qualifications, a Master in International and European law and a Master in International Relations and Comparative Politics from the Belgian Catholic University of Louvain and a number of certificate qualifications obtained from the Belgian University of Saint-Louis in Common-Law, EU law, EU Politics and Comparative-Law and also earned with highest honour a Belgian certificate for development cooperation Agency.


Teresa M. Odipo

Public Relations & Communications

Teresa Maria Odipo studied sports at the German Sport University Cologne and music at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. She is currently doing her PhD at the German Sport University Cologne in the field of sports education and is part of the research project "Schulsport2020". In 2012 she founded together with other students the association "Lebensdurst-ich e.V." for young adults with life-threatening illnesses. Her heart also beats for Africa: "My father is from Kenya and so I am happy to contribute my own experiences to African Leadership".


Rodrigo Rodrigues da Conceição

Project Coordinator

Rodrigo holds a bachelor's degree in Physical Education (Sports) from the University Center of Volta Redonda and Biology at the University of Castelo Branco. For ten years he was a teacher in public and private schools in Brazil, as well as acting as a sports instructor in martial arts and Strength & Conditioning. After this period, he migrated to the academic career, finished his master's degree in physiology at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (2012-2014) and his PhD in sciences at the Federal University of São Paulo (2014 - 2018). Being, in this period Researcher Fellow at the Fellow at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago USA (2016-2017). Currently, Rodrigo has published twenty two scientific articles and a book chapter.
